Partner Spotlight: Free, fun after-school programs with Christie Lake Kids

Through our partnership with Christie Lake Kids, OCH tenants can access FREE after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs for children aged 6-17. We know that everyone who joins always has lots of fun!

Christie Lake Kids proudly serves OCH neighbourhoods across Ottawa.

Christie Lake Kids’ after-school STAR (Skills Through Arts and Recreation) programs offer a variety of activities, including hockey, basketball, soccer, art, Hip-Hop, leadership programs and more.  

This past year, children from the Hip Hop program proved just how far determination and creativity can take you. Through a partnership with Culture Shock Canada, Christie Lake Kids introduced a group of kids to the art of Hip-Hop dance. They learned new moves and practiced for months, building their confidence for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: performing in front of a crowd at a special Showcase event. They delivered an unforgettable performance.  

This is just one example of the amazing opportunities Christie Lake Kids offers OCH tenants. These programs are designed to help kids build confidence, develop new skills, and create lasting friendships in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
